I may be a pizza snob (and I’m ok with that) but that pizza does not look great in the pics in the article.
Agreed it doesn’t look too good and it seems like they skimp on the sauce. Plus they are wasting a bit of the Sausage which falls off at the end. But hey, it’s a cool concept and I won’t really knock it until I try it … because “pizza” right?
That video showed us it took 1 minute to assemble a pizza. 5 robots needed to assemble 300 with no shut downs or running out of ingredients in one hour. Would probably need at least 6 of those units to achieve their yield of 300/hr.
I wonder if an assembly line is the best way to assemble pizzas. I’ve seen pizza makers build a pizza in way less than a minute. And they’re in one spot not having to move. A turntable/lazy susan type of system might work to their advantage. It could potentially occupy less space as well, at least horizontally.
