I just finished reading the Release Notes. How do I use the new On-board text-to-speech and Speak command in the C# SDK?
I am told the
Speak command didn’t make it into the latest .NET SDK library updates, and that it should be in the next release, which is currently planned for next week. Apologies for the misinformation; that should have been called out explicitly in the release notes. Thanks for calling it out and helping us improve our processes here.
When it’s in, you’ll call on the
Speak command with three arguments:
- Text (the text to speak)
- Flush (whether to clear out the queue of pending
- UtteranceID (an ID string for this
Speakcommand, to be used as the feature advances)
You’ll be able to use a limited form of SSML to modify how Misty synthesizes the text. There are a few examples of that in the REST API documentation.
